Bottle – a love story
A love story between sand and snow made by Kirsten Lepore through animation and stop motion. It won the Vimeo Audience Award 2010 for Animation.
Kirsten Lepore says it was all real snow, moved frame by frame. Every time she got out there to shoot, she had to rebuild the character (which was about 3 feet tall). She was pushing around massive snowballs (that probably weighed more than herself), running back and forth between the camera and the character every frame… She didn’t have a crew and did the whole thing by herself.
It’s just so impressive! And the story is simply amazing.
