Reasons for being childfree

Well, it’s not a secret that the childfree lifestyle becoming more popular lately.

Personally I have intention to get married and have children. Not right now, but sometime in the future.

And I’m really curious about people who are childfree not because of the circumstances beyond their control, but because they do not anticipate having kids ever.

What can be the reasons for being childfree?

I’ve also noticed that there are many childfree people among animal lovers and volunteers. Is it a kind of sublimation?

I understand that it’s a «many men, many minds» topic. Still I would really appreciate any comments or thoughts anyone shares.
