Eye for an Eye…

A court sentenced Iranian man to be blinded in both eyes for throwing acid into the face of a woman that refused to marry him. The punishment was scheduled to be carried out on Saturday, and the victim was to inject the acid into her attacker’s eyes herself. But on Friday night officials had postponed the sentence and not indicated when it might be carried out in future.

I approve and also disapprove of the punishment. I think the woman deserves justice after all she has been lived through. It is unforgivable what the man did… But will she feel better, if she blinds him with acid? Will it bring her peace?
